On June 19, 1736 the Senate ordered to build 500 double boats in Bryansk dockyards.
Double boats were aimed for support of the Russian military forces operating along the Dnepr and its coastal lake coast lines. In case of necessity they could transport up to fifty armed people and two regimental cannons.
